The Community Foundation of Teton Valley is a nonprofit that works year-round to support local organizations and our community. Our Competitive Grant program is just one of the avenues the Foundation uses to ensure necessary support of critical needs within our community.
Competitive Grants are funded through the generosity of Business and Community Challengers and the Challenger Fund. The size of grants awarded range from a few hundred dollars to a maximum of $5,000 – with exceptions for exceptional, collaborative projects. Funding decisions are made by our dedicated, volunteer Grants Committee comprised of community members with diverse interests and experiences. On average, the Community Foundation has been able to fund approximately half of what’s been applied for annually. This spring, that meant funding $56,645 in Competitive Grant Awards that provided support for 15 local organizations and their proposals.
Through this program, the Community Foundation can award critical funding in a strategic and impactful way to best help our community and elevate lives.

Thank you to 2020 Tin Cup Challengers who provided funding for these grants and made a real difference in our community.

While Challengers fund the grant awards, the Community Foundation hosts the program and manages the finer details – including announcements, deadlines, accepting applications, processing proposals, assimilating the projects, reviewing each one in detail, necessary follow-up, awarding funds, and sharing the successes.
Make your Tin Cup donation directly to the Community Foundation to support this important work for both local nonprofits and our community!
