The Community Foundation works year-round to support local nonprofits from the bottom up. From maintaining an annual, dependable fundraiser for participating nonprofits to continuing education, the Community Foundation of Teton Valley is consistently building a stronger foundation for organizations to root into. Through these efforts, the Community Foundation creates stability while encouraging collaboration and connection.

Workshops —
Our spring and fall workshops give nonprofit leaders an opportunity to network, continue their education, and practice nonprofit best practices within their own organizations. Many of our workshops build on each other to offer continued growth and tactical strategies to put knowledge into action.

Nonprofit Community Space —
Through generous year-end donations, this community space went live in February 2020, right before the pandemic struck. The Foundation has been delighted to re-open this room with upgraded technology that can host in-person board meetings, with a Zoom component. Nonprofits are quickly seeing the benefits and reservationsare booking rapidly.

Our newly established nonprofit library concentrates on fundraising, board & nonprofit management, program evaluation, marketing, strategic planning, finance, and leadership. We appreciate having this resource available for nonprofit leaders to reinforce their skill sets and encourage best practices.

New Board Member Brief —
Our New Board Member Briefs have seen tremendous popularity. This half-hour presentation orients new board members on the basic principles on what it means to serve on a nonprofit board. The presentation simultaneously creates a peer network to help foster support and improves nonprofits from the inside out. Sign up for the October 5th offering!

Talks with Tim —
These monthly meetings feature an opportunity for executive directors to connect, question, share, collaborate, support, and celebrate with each other. With this networking opportunity, peers can discuss relevant topics of the day in today’s fast-changing environment.

Our team is always ready to share knowledge, experiences, or simply lend an ear to local nonprofit leaders in order to support their mission and goals. As one board member recently put it, “Everyone is so helpful and knowledgable, and just always goes the extra mile to help get things done.” Additionally, Tim provides regular outreach and counseling to nonprofits to ensure stability within the nonprofit community.

Volunteer Dashboard —
Our Volunteer Dashboard allows local organizations to post immediate and on-going needs. This allows volunteers to readily identify community needs that align with their passions and availability. Our Nonprofit Directory also provides ready access to reach nonprofits directly or connect to their social media accounts.

Community Gazebo —
In recognition of local nonprofit leaders ingenuity, perseverance, and collaboration during the pandemic, Foundation board and staff refurbished this community space for the benefit of all. The gazebo, located next door to the Community Foundation is meant to be an enduring honor to how local nonprofits came together in the face of adversity. Stop by and enjoy it!

Equipment Rental —
While equipment rental saw little action during the pandemic, the program has readily picked up steam this summer – tables, chairs, coolers, and tents are going out on a regular basis – alleviating event costs for innumerable nonprofit events.
