Competitive grant opportunities allow local organizations to address critical community needs as they arise on an annual basis. In each grant cycle, thoughtful committees are tasked with weighing the breadth and impact of each project that’s funded. Working with high school seniors, during Youth Philanthropy, allows the Community Foundation to instill the impact of philanthropy in future generations while introducing students to local nonprofit work.
Over the last two years, our Community Emergency Response Fund has also been hard at work. One of these grants helped fund mental health counseling at Teton High School. According to one student, “If the counselor wasn’t here, I wouldn’t be able to see one because I have to take care of my siblings after school. She really helps me.”
