Each year, the Tin Cup Challenger Fund serves to inspire others to give to their favorite local nonprofits, knowing that their gifts will be matched by the Community Foundation’s Tin Cup Challengers. These Challengers are stewards of philanthropy, inspiring community-wide giving while graciously conveying their commitment to and belief in improving lives through the power of generosity.
Silver Star Communications has joined as a 2015 Tin Cup Challenger at the Copper level. This local business gives because…
“Two of our company values are ‘Make an Impact’ and ‘Focus on the Triple Bottom Line’ – which refers to our commitment to sustainability: people, profit and planet. Giving to the Challenger Fund is a way to put our values into action.”
Silver Star Communications has been a part of Teton Valley since 1997, when they began operating Teton Telecom. Now, almost 20 years later, the company offers a full-range of communication services including high-speed internet, voice, wireless phone, smart home and security solutions, computer and phone repair and home entertainment systems.
As a family and employee owned company, Silver Star Communications has always been invested in people; giving back to the communities they serve in an effort to support economic development and quality of life for employees and customers. The Tin Cup Challenge provides the company with an opportunity to put their business philosophy and culture into action. According to Kim Billimoria, Senior Marketing Coordinator, “for us the Tin Cup Challenge is an opportunity to not only support the local organizations that enhance quality of life in Teton Valley, but to also encourage community members to give to the nonprofits of their choice.”
