Gini Van Siclen has generously partnered with our Executive Director, Bonnie Self, to co-lead our tri-annual Board Briefs. These free, 45-minute presentations are offered after work and via Zoom to provide direction and best practice for new and existing board members. Gini shares a wealth of experience, expertise, and enthusiasm in these meetings.
Attendees leave encouraged and empowered:
My biggest takeaway was the reminder that as a Board Member, we only act as such when we’re meeting as a board. Otherwise, all of our actions and activities for the organization are as a singular volunteer.”
Board Brief Paticipant
This workshop provided a training that I didn’t even know existed in our valley – and filled significant gaps in my knowledge of how best to participate on a nonprofit board of directors.”
Board Brief Paticipant
Despite having been a board member, board chair and executive director, we can still learn something new. This workshop reminds us of our basic roles and responsibilities. I recommend it to all new members and as an annual refresher. Thank you!”
