Keep Tinny Primed
Our unique fundraising model balances the Challenger Fund and Designated Donations carefully to ensure that participating nonprofits get the most benefits from funds raised. Both ways of giving are equally important to this model. Designated Gifts provide operational funds that help ensure staff capacity and longevity. Challenger funds provide a partial Matching Grant, Competitive Grants, Youth Philanthropy grants, and Workshops that help advance the missions of local nonprofits. Additionally, the Challenger Fund covers Event Day costs and payment processing – meaning that participating nonprofits get 100% of gifts designated to them.
At the Community Foundation, we understand the need to keep up with the 55% increase in designated gifts we’ve seen since the inception of the Tin Cup Challenge in 2008. Taking note of the consistent increase in participation is why our nonprofit continues to grow the Challenger Fund and our organization. Increased capacity at the Community Foundation means more support for all of Teton Valley’s nonprofits.
The Tin Cup Challenge is unique in another way. All Tin Cup funds are meant to be spent within 18 months and within Teton Valley. This means a direct, instant infiltration into our community – year after year – to advance the critical missions of our nonprofits and benefit our entire community.
Giving Period ends Friday, July 26th at 5pm.
