“I believe that a community-supported yoga studio in Driggs provides benefits to this valley that go well beyond individual students. Having high quality yoga and wellness classes – affordable to all – is especially relevant today with the high cost of living in a resort town. The Yoga Source’s varied and unique offerings foster an individual’s mindfulness, compassion, and wellbeing, in turn contributing to our entire community in powerful, creative, and supportive ways.” – Ralph Mossman, Co-Founder
The Yoga Source was founded late in 2022 to create a welcoming place for all to learn and practice yoga. This will be our first Tin Cup and it is an essential part of our plan to make the centuries old yogic study of wellness, health and self-awareness accessible to all members of the community in a modern way that feeds back to the larger community.
Our goal is not just to be self-sufficient, but to grow in ways that spread to more students, present more classes and workshops, and to expand our model of “Yoga For All”.
In our first six months, we had well over 500 unique students! We have excellent teachers offering numerous classes every single day. Those classes range from beginner to advanced, from physical to meditative, and from fun to serious. Our beautiful, welcoming space is in the former Courtroom, upstairs in the Historic Old County Courthouse. Through the hard work of our founders and many volunteers and with the support of a few generous donors, we have created a thriving community of new and experienced practitioners, connecting and reducing isolation in a time when this is so important! With additional support through the Tin Cup Challenge, we can continue to grow this seed we have planted.
Yoga is healing, non-competitive, calming, as challenging as you want and as profound as you notice. Yoga puts people in touch with themselves, their bodies, their minds, their families, their environment, and their communities.
