Q: What is the Tin Cup Challenge?
A: One of the most innovative charitable fundraisers in the nation, the Tin Cup Challenge is also one of the most successful. In 2016, the event raised $1,263,829 from 964 donors. Since 2008, this event has raised an astounding $9,546,466, directly benefitting Teton Valley’s cherished nonprofits working tirelessly to enhance our quality of life.
Q: How does it work?
A: During the 9-week charitable giving period, donors make gifts to the Community Foundation of Teton Valley designating their favorite local nonprofits as recipients. Donors are inspired to give generously, knowing their gifts will be matched by a grant from the Challenger Fund. The 10th Annual Tin Cup Challenge giving period began May 19th and ends July 21st at 5pm. Gifts can be made online at www.tincupchallenge.org or by using the donor forms inserted in the Tin Cup Challenge brochures mailed to each postal box holder in the valley.

A: Challengers are a special group of corporations and individuals who give $1,000 or more to the Challenger Fund each year. Gifts to the Challenger Fund are used to host the Tin Cup Challenge and provide matching grants to participating nonprofits. Challengers are community leaders who promote charitable giving and intrinsically value Teton Valley’s nonprofits. The generosity of our Challengers inspires increased community giving and is the key to the Tin Cup Challenge’s success.

A: The 10th Annual Tin Cup Challenge Celebration Day, taking place Saturday, July 15th from 9am-12pm at the Driggs City Plaza, will be fun for the whole family, offering a 5K Fun Run/Walk along with 5K and 10K competitive races for all ages. The Tin Cup Challenge is a great opportunity to gather with friends, family and neighbors to support Teton Valley nonprofits. All fun run and race participants will receive a commemorative 10th Annual Tin Cup Challenge t-shirt.
