Teton Valley has risen to the challenge for 10 years running! Thank you for making the Tin Cup Challenge such a successful philanthropic event year after year. Pooling our resources means a win for the whole valley.
Forty-five nonprofits participated in this year’s 9-week giving period. Streamlining fundraising through this unique philanthropic model meets the needs of both our nonprofits and donors. By participating in the Tin Cup, nonprofits can spend more time focusing on the programs and services they provide and less time on fundraising and fundraisers. Donors benefit by leveraging their philanthropic dollars with the Community Foundation of Teton Valley’s Challenger Fund, which provides a Matching Grant for participating nonprofits.
Challengers, those who give $1,000 or more to the Challenger Fund, set the pace and help our community take the lead in annual charitable giving. These generous businesses and individuals rise to the occasion year after year, taking the baton in this community relay to raise money for the nonprofits that provide much needed services and resources in our rural locale. Challengers’ continued and growing support provides the Matching Grant and serves as a catalyst for local nonprofits to effectively and efficiently campaign for their critical programs and services during the Tin Cup.
Additionally, Challenger funds help pay for the festivities of Celebration Day on the third Saturday of July every year. This year’s 10th anniversary was celebrated in style with participants from across the valley. We had 610 runners stage for a win, 35 exceptional nonprofit booths with family-friendly activities at the City Center in Driggs and a multitude of charitable volunteers to make it all happen.
The spirit of the Tin Cup is generosity. Every drop in the Tin Cup counts, and by default generates more drops – the ripple effect in action. Whether you’ve added your drop to the community Tin Cup as a tireless nonprofit, a Challenger, a donor, a volunteer or a runner – they’ve all added up to a rejoicing win for Teton Valley and our community. Thank you for your help, support, and consideration this year and for the last 10 years – we are already looking forward to the next decade!
