As we move into this next season we’re not only saying taking leave of warm days, but also a warm personality that has graced our board for six years covering 2 terms. Missy Colyer first joined the board of the Community Foundation of Teton Valley in August of 2012 and later served as Treasurer and then Vice-Chair. In addition to the Executive Committee, Missy used her financial prowess, as a part owner of Chircop & Colyer, to guide the Foundation as part of the Finance Committee.
Missy “really enjoyed getting to work with such experienced staff and board members for the good of the community as a whole.”
During her tenure with the Foundation, she worked with two executive directors before Carrie Mowrey took the helm in 2014. Missy served as a passionate advocate for the Community Foundation, dedicating her time and service to the success of the organization and its mission through both stable and tumultuous times. She helped steady the boat when the entire community was rocked by the loss of friend, colleague and Marketing & Programs Director, Dawn Banks. Additionally, she worked through six Tin Cup giving periods, helping the team grow the Challenger Fund every year. Missy provided consistency and care for the heart of the organization and we will greatly miss her ready contributions and leadership. Missy’s dedication to the community is evident as she moves on to join the board of Family Safety Network.
