What is the difference between managing and leading my organization? How do I motivate the individuals within my organization? What practices can I implement to strengthen my leadership skills? How do I become a more effective leader?
As individuals in the nonprofit sector, we’ve all asked these questions of ourselves from time to time; whether as employees of a nonprofit organization, in our work as volunteers for our favorite causes or simply as active and involved citizens dedicated to making our community a better place through service on a nonprofit board. Whether you have recently taken a new leadership role, you hope to become a leader in the future or you’re ready to further develop your leadership skills and abilities in your existing role, the Leaderships Skills Workshop presented by John Heymann of the New Level Group is a must-attend.
“We are thrilled to be able to host this world-class workshop, thanks to generous donations from our Tin Cup Challengers. As part of our mission at the Community Foundation, we strive to support our local nonprofit staff, board members and volunteers with opportunities to sharpen their skills and ensure the sustainability and impact of their organizations. I have attended several of John Heymann’s workshops and have found them to be thoughtful, engaging, useful and inspiring. I highly recommend this upcoming workshop on Leadership Skills to anyone involved with our amazing local nonprofit community,” says Carrie Mowrey, Executive Director for the Community Foundation of Teton Valley.
On Friday, October 3rd, from 9am to 12:30pm, registered participants in the Leadership Skills Workshop offered by the Community Foundation of Teton Valley will have the opportunity to learn what it takes to be a great leader from an expert in the nonprofit and business sector.
