This Friday at 5pm marks the last chance to give in this year’s Tin Cup Challenge!
The Tin Cup Challenge is the most significant fundraiser of the year for Teton Valley nonprofits. Donations collected during the 9-week giving period of the Tin Cup Challenge make up a significant portion of annual operating budgets for these organizations. Additionally, the efficiency of the Tin Cup streamlined giving for 45 nonprofits this year. That means our nonprofits can concentrate on the business of improving lives through their services rather than spending valuable time on more traditional fundraising methods.
Part of what makes Teton Valley so special is our community. We collectively take care of our people, animals and land. This is further evidenced by the roles nonprofits have taken up to fill noticeable service gaps for our rural locale in order to take care of our valley in its entirety.
The unique generosity of our community is truly inspiring. Donors are the engine that make the nonprofit world revolve. Collectively, they are responsible for the amazing programs and services we are lucky enough to have in Teton Valley. Continued generosity on behalf of local citizens has provided a solid foundation of support for our nonprofits to grow their organizations and services annually.
These nonprofits are depending on you! Thankfully, your gift goes even further during the Tin Cup Challenge with leverage from the Community Foundation of Teton Valley’s Matching Grants Program. That’s why it’s so important to give during the 9-week giving period!
Last Saturday the community of Teton Valley came out in full force to celebrate the 10th Annual Tin Cup Challenge with 610 runners, 35 nonprofit booths, hundreds of volunteers, and all stripes of community members to celebrate the generosity that readily flows through our valley on so many fronts. They ran, they rejoiced, they mingled, and they enjoyed family-friendly booth activities provided by local nonprofits. The celebratory, community-oriented day was the perfect manifestation of a decade of organized giving for Teton Valley nonprofits.
Every penny and every person counts. No gift is too small to make a big difference for a cause or program you believe in supporting. With one in four Teton Valley households participating in last year’s Tin Cup, we’re hoping to rise to the occasion of our 10th year of service and bring half of our local households to the philanthropic table. No amount is too small and every little bit helps!
You can join the celebration and add your generosity to the Tin Cup by donating before 5:00 pm on Friday, July 21st. If you have questions or need help making your gift, please feel free to contact the Community Foundation of Teton Valley. We can help point you toward the nonprofits that speak to your values and passions. Thank you for participating in decade of generosity for Teton Valley!
