It’s a warm summer evening in downtown Driggs and you join a crowd of people heading to the City Plaza for an evening of free, outdoor live music. You set up your beach chair next to a friend and head to the food tent to pick up something local and delicious. Just as you settle in and visit with your neighbors, the band begins to rock. People get up to dance with each other.
It’s a crisp winter day, with a deep blue sky, and you’re bundled up and checking out snow sculptures carved by international and local artists. You hear artists telling their stories about chiseling incredible shapes and characters out of the snow using handmade tools.
A town that has art, creative events, inviting streets, and sidewalks is a place where people want to spend time with each other. Downtown Driggs Association creates free programs, activities, and spaces that engage and strengthen the downtown, providing what a healthy community needs.
During the year, we work with almost 200 artists, musicians, and actors who reach local audiences of more than 8,000 people. We light up downtown on dark winter nights, plant whiskey barrels with colorful flowers along Main Street, provide games and seating in Mugler Plaza, and lead the annual Scarecrow Contest.
We do all of this with generous donations from our local supporters and Tin Cup Challengers. A gift through the Tin Cup Challenge, celebrating 15 years, provides vital operating funding for Downtown Driggs Association, so we can offer creative, fun, engaging programming that gathers and grows community. Thank you for your generosity and for making downtown Driggs thrive.
