At The Learning Academy of Teton Valley, we believe that a well-rounded education encompasses so much more than academics. Integrity and kindness, work ethic and mindfulness, and service and responsibility are also integral pieces of the learning puzzle. Educating the whole child means focusing on each quality that makes our students unique individuals.
There are myriad reasons, including strengths and challenges, that may make our school the best educational fit for a child. Whatever the reasons, offering scholarships and financial aid to Teton Valley families so that their students may attend our school is one of the most important uses of our funding from the Tin Cup Challenge.
Curriculum, materials, and spaces to explore, develop, play, learn and create are all vital in developing an environment that meets all student’s needs. These learning tools and spaces allow children the freedom to grow and have success in the ways that best suit their unique learning styles. The fact that the Community Foundation allows such a broad use of funds gives our school the chance to use our Tin Cup funding in a flexible way, offering as many learning tools and opportunities as these funds can create.
We have such tremendous gratitude for this valley we call home, our incredible community, The Community Foundation and its donors, and the families who continue to trust us with their children’s educational journeys. We believe that the strength of character, emotional intelligence, and critical thinking we work to support and instill will help guide our young peoples’ paths forward. We’re confident these paths will lead our children to create a continually more compassionate, aware, and sustainable future for our valley, our country, and our planet.
