2015 marks the 8th year for the Community Foundation of Teton Valley’s annual Tin Cup Challenge and on Wednesday, March 18 the meeting that signifies the kick-off will be held from 8:30 – 10am at the Driggs Community Center. Nonprofits interested in participating in the 8th Annual Tin Cup Challenge are required to send one representative to this informational meeting where application processes, guidelines and important dates will be reviewed. According to Dawn Banks, Communications & Events Director, “This is a great opportunity to gather all the information necessary for participating and have any questions answered. Not only that, but starting in March gives every organization some space to plan and organize their strategy before we head into the busy summer months.”
Serving as both a 9-week giving period and a one day celebration of the community’s spirit of generosity, the Tin Cup Challenge has raised over $7 million in just 7 years for Teton Valley nonprofits. “The Tin Cup Challenge provides the inspiration to transform people who care about Teton Valley into people who take action for Teton Valley. Whether they give of their time or their money, it all adds up to creating a significant impact in the community and, particularly, the nonprofits that serve that community,” said Carrie Mowrey, Executive Director.
Whether your nonprofit organization has participated in the Tin Cup Challenge for the last 7 years or you’re looking to make 2015 the first year, mark your calendars for Wednesday, March 18 from 8:30 – 10am at the Driggs Community Center. This mandatory meeting is key to successful participation in the 8th Annual Tin Cup Challenge. Nonprofits intending to participate should RSVP to Dawn Banks at dbanks@cftetonvalley.org by 5pm on Monday, March 16.
