Susan M. Rose joined the board in 2019. She was born and raised in Grand Rapids, Michigan where she taught K-12 Visual Arts for 30 years. After retiring, Susan served as Interim Director of Indoor Education at Fredrik Meijer Gardens & Sculpture Park.
As a young girl, Susan traveled throughout the United States and Canada with her parents and siblings for 8 weeks every summer. She developed a deep connection with the Teton area and as an adult returned most summers to sketch, paint, hike, and fish.
Susan is now a full-time artist and enjoys exploring the area and working with various organizations in the valley. Following her husband’s retirement, they decided that Teton Valley was the perfect place to live to enjoy the outdoors and became full-time residents in 2016. Susan and Bill also recently welcomed a new puppy into their lives.
