DEVELOPMENT ASSOCIATE
Mission: To develop and implement marketing and fundraising strategies for Earthfire Institute, as well as management of all social media content.

This can be a full or part time position with partial remote potential, but required on-site hours. Salary negotiable.
Responsibilities
- Create and implement a marketing plan for Earthfire that includes the website, monthly newsletters, print materials, all social media channels, retreats, and custom visits
- Research, identify, and pursue funding opportunities
- CRM donor management and growth of donor base
- Work with animal care staff and Associate Director to create compelling social media content
- Manage and distribute social media content across all channels, ensuring content is in line with Earthfire’s mission and complies with copyright and privacy regulations
- Monitor follower comments across all social media channels, and respond when appropriate
- Collaborative meetings to discuss marketing, fundraising, and social media strategies
- Grow Earthfire audience, including social media followers and newsletter subscribers
- Assist with special projects such as designing a media kit, book layouts, posters for events and Christmas cards
- Additional duties that arise, such as assisting with newsletter content, custom visits and retreats, online programming, fundraising events, production and distribution of Earthfire Magazine, etc.

- Familiarity with CRM systems and experience in implementing fundraising strategies
- Experience in creation and execution of comprehensive marketing plans
- Highly proficient in social media
- Excellent writing and editing skills

- Excellent interpersonal skills, and able to work in a collaborative environment
- Highly developed oral, written, and public communications skills

- Easy-going manner and calm temperament
- Previous experience in the nonprofit field is preferred, although not required
