Cathy grew up in Woodbury, NY, on Long Island, and moved West in 2001, first to Park City, Utah, and then to Victor in 2005, following a banking career in New York City. Her first endeavor in Teton Valley was launching Music on Main in 2006 as the Teton Valley Foundation’s first executive director. After the event’s second season, she was asked to become the inaugural executive director of theCommunity Foundation of Teton Valley, with a charge to create the valley’s first dedicated fundraising event for local nonprofits—many of which had previously depended on participating in Old Bill’s Fun Run in Jackson.
With support from the Community Foundation of Jackson Hole, a dedicated board of directors, and enthusiastic participation from volunteers and nonprofit partners, the first Tin Cup Challenge took place on July 19, 2008.
In 2011, Cathy joined City Pass, Inc., a Victor-based company that bundles prepaid admission to top attractions in major destinations across North America. She manages relationships with attraction partners in 17 cities and regions.
Cathy continued to serve on the boards of both the Teton Valley Foundation and the Community Foundation of Teton Valley for several years after stepping down from her executive director roles. She has been a Tin Cup Community Challenger since the event’s inception in 2008. In addition to serving on the Community Foundation board, she currently serves on the board of the Dee Williams Freestyle Fund, which provides scholarships to young mogul skiers who demonstrate talent, strong character, and commitment to community and team.
When she’s not traveling for work, Cathy enjoys recreating – by bike, by ski, by watercraft, and on foot – in the Tetons, seeking out live music, traveling, and being with her family.
