Position Summary
The Office Manager plays a vital role in the daily operations of our PreK–8 independent school. As the front office lead, you will ensure a welcoming environment for children, families, and staff, manage communications, and provide essential administrative support to faculty and leadership. The ideal candidate is highly organized, personable, detail‑oriented, and committed to contributing to our mission-driven, child-centered community.
Qualifications
High school diploma required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred
Prior experience in office administration—school or nonprofit experience a plus
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and database systems
Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
Strong multitasking abilities and discretion
Warm, professional demeanor with a child-centered approach
Work Environment & Schedule
Standard hours: Monday–Friday, approximately 7:30 AM–4:00 PM
School year contract (10 months with summers off)
Occasional evenings or weekends required for school events
Dynamic, lively workplace with daily interaction with students, families, and staff
Working Conditions & Physical Requirements
Able to write / type / communicate
Primarily indoors in an office setting: sitting and standing for long stretches while using a computer some outdoor responsibilitiesÂ
Able to sit/stand at a desk for up to 8 hours
Have a normal range of vision/hearing/speech
Primarily based at Jackson Campus of Teton Science Schools with potential meetings/interactions/work on all campuses locations
Able to bend/stoop/reach and lift up to 50 pounds
