Salary:  Starting at $55,000/year plus robust benefits

About Teton Regional Land Trust 
Teton Regional Land Trust’s (TRLT) works with private landowners to protect farms and ranches, fish and wildlife habitat, and scenic open spaces across eastern Idaho now and for generations to come. Serving six counties in the Upper Snake River watershed, TRLT has permanently conserved approximately 44,000 acres of working land and critical habitat.

Summary of Position 
TRLT is seeking a full-time Engagement Associate to lead grassroots membership, donor engagement, and outreach efforts. This is a hands-on, people-facing role ideal for someone who enjoys building relationships, organizing meaningful experiences, and keeping the details straight while juggling multiple projects. 
 
You’ll be a key connector between donors, volunteers, community partners, and TRLT staff, helping grow support for conservation across the region. 
 
What You’ll Do 
Development & Donor Engagement (45%) 
Manage donation processing and maintain TRLT’s donor database 
Build and steward relationships with grassroots donors and members 
Draft membership appeals, acknowledgements, and donor communications 
Research grant opportunities and assist with donor communications as needed 
Support broader development efforts alongside the Development team 
 
Outreach, Events & Community Engagement (45%) 
Plan and execute fundraising, outreach, and appreciation events from concept to cleanup 
Coordinate logistics including venues, permits, vendors, volunteers, sponsors, ticketing, and payments 
Track event budgets, income, and expenses 
Lead post-event follow-up, including thank-you notes to sponsors, volunteers, and donors 
Serve as the primary staff contact for volunteers 
Support youth education initiatives, including updating Teacher Trunks and occasional school or community presentations 
Help design and order annual TRLT merchandise 
 
Team Support & Growth (10%) 
Support the Executive Director, Development Director, and Communications Manager as needed 
Attend staff, committee, and board meetings 
Collaborate with the Conservation team to deepen understanding of TRLT’s work 
Participate in professional development opportunities 
 
What You Bring 
Relevant professional experience or degree (nonprofit, communications, marketing, sales, or community engagement preferred) 
Strong written and verbal communication skills 
Excellent organization, follow-through, and time management 
Comfort managing multiple projects and deadlines at once 
Genuine interest in building authentic relationships with donors and community members 
A collaborative, positive attitude and willingness to jump in where needed 
Passion for conservation and community-based work 
 
Technical Skills 
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) 
Experience with CRM databases or data management systems 
Familiarity with tools such as Canva, Eventbrite, BiddingOwl, SquareSpace, or similar platforms preferred 
 
Requirements 
Valid driver’s license 
Flexible schedule; some evening and weekend work required for events 
Occasional local or regional travel
