The Community Foundation of Teton Valley is pleased to announce the launch of the 19th Annual Tin Cup Challenge and the official opening of the application period. A Kick-Off Meeting will be held on Tuesday, March 10, from 9 to 10 AM at the Community Foundation office, 189 North Main Street, Suite 112, in Driggs.

The Kick-Off marks the beginning of this year’s Tin Cup cycle and provides participating nonprofits with essential guidance. The first half-hour (9:00 -9:30 AM) is required for organizations that have never participated in the Tin Cup Challenge or have not participated in more than two years. Beginning at 9:30 AM, the session will include a review of the new application system and offer personalized assistance. New Executive Directors or staff responsible for overseeing Tin Cup participation are strongly encouraged to attend.

This informational meeting will cover the application process, guidelines, and key dates. According to Brian Thysell, Community Foundation Program Manager, “This is a fantastic opportunity for nonprofits to gather essential information and get their questions answered before heading into the busy summer months. Preparing early allows organizations to plan strategically and maximize their impact.”

Serving as both a six-week giving period and a one-day celebration of community generosity, the Tin Cup Challenge has raised $30.8 million over the past 18 years for nonprofits across Teton Valley. These funds bolster essential community services, including youth programs, arts and cultural initiatives, environmental stewardship projects, health programs, and other efforts that contribute to a vibrant, thriving valley.

Executive Director Bonnie Self emphasizes the broad impact: “The Tin Cup Challenge inspires those who care about Teton Valley to take action. Every donation matters and creates a meaningful impact for local nonprofits.”

By preparing early, nonprofits position themselves to effectively engage donors and maximize both the giving period and Event Day. Organizations planning to attend should RSVP through the Foundation’s website or contact Brian Thysell at [email protected] by 5 PM on Friday, March 6.

Please also mark your calendars for the 19th Annual Tin Cup Challenge Event Day on July 18, 2026 – always the third Saturday in July. The celebration features a competitive 5K, 10K, or Fun Run/Walk, a complimentary breakfast, and engaging nonprofit booths and activities from 9 AM to Noon at the Driggs City Park.
