About the Community Foundation
The Community Foundation of Teton Valley strives to improve lives through the generosity of donors, advocating for nonprofits, promoting a giving culture, and addressing crucial community needs in Teton Valley.
The Foundation manages community assets and coordinates community-wide giving over an 8-week period that culminates in the annual Tin Cup Challenge Fun Run, a major fundraising event for local nonprofits.
Our mission is to enhance lives through philanthropic leadership by providing excellent donor services, making impactful grants to benefit the community, ensuring sustainability within the philanthropic sector, and serving as a leader, catalyst, and resource.
The Community Foundation of Teton Valley provides comprehensive support to the community and local nonprofits through various programs, including Annual Nonprofit Grantmaking Awards, ongoing education for nonprofit staff and board members, and resources for local organizations like workshops, networking events, and learning opportunities.

Our Impact

The Community Foundation of Teton Valley works to elevate lives through the power of generosity by championing the nonprofit sector, empowering donors, promoting a culture of giving, and serving as a catalyst in addressing critical community needs.

In addition to grantmaking and workshops, the Community Foundation:
- Manages Donor Advised and Agency Funds.
- Maintains a free Nonprofit Community Space for meetings.
- Keeps nonprofit event costs low by offering free Equipment Rentals.
- Promotes nonprofit communications by hosting a Nonprofit Listserv.
- Promotes collaboration through various Nonprofit Networking opportunities.
- Serves a Community Catalyst to connect key stakeholders when facing community needs.
- Offers Program Sponsorship for fledging nonprofit programs.
- Provides one-on-one consultations for nonprofit board and/or staff members.

The Community Foundation of Teton Valley is in good standing with the Council on Foundations National Standards. These standards affirm our commitment to financial security, transparency, and accountability.
These standards establish legal, ethical, effective practices and assure donors, government and media of our commitment to best practices. To achieve this certification, foundations go through a rigorous peer review of organizational and financial policies and procedures. Community Foundations use these standards to promote self-regulation and set consistent expectations for their boards. These standards provide a framework for documenting, communicating and providing training and technical assistance to advance best practices.
