Each year, the Tin Cup Challenger Fund serves to inspire others to give to their favorite local nonprofits, knowing that their gifts will be matched by the Community Foundation’s Tin Cup Challengers. These Challengers are stewards of philanthropy, inspiring community-wide giving while graciously conveying their commitment to and belief in improving lives through the power of generosity.
Margot and Tim Watters are 2015 Tin Cup Challengers at the Copper level and they give because…
“We see the critical needs nonprofits fulfill in our community. We give because the matching dollars generated by the Challenger Fund motivate overall giving at Tin Cup – and that’s a good thing. We give because we love this Valley.”
In 2004, Margot & Tim decided to move their family from the Midwest to Teton Valley and quickly came to view this place and community as their own. Along with their 5 children, they became active community members, serving on several local nonprofit boards and committed to improving lives in Teton Valley through the power of their own generosity.
In addition to their support as Tin Cup Challengers since 2011, Tim and Margot donate their time to supporting the Teton Valley community through volunteer work with the Community Foundation of Teton Valley and other local nonprofit organizations. In 2010, Tim joined the board of the Community Foundation and currently serves as Chair. For the last 3 years, Margot has served as Race Captain for the annual Tin Cup Challenge.
