On July 19, 2014 the Community Foundation of Teton Valley will host the 7th Annual Tin Cup Challenge, which serves as both a campaign for giving and a one-day event celebrating our community’s spirit of generosity. Each year, the Community Foundation asks community members to give to the Tin Cup Challenger Fund which:
- Provides matching dollars that motivate others to give during the Tin Cup Challenge
- Allows the Tin Cup Challenge to be offered at no cost to participating nonprofits
- Supports the ongoing Community Foundation grants program
- Allows the Community Foundation to serve as an ongoing resource for donors and nonprofits
A gift to the Challenger Fund is a gift for all participating nonprofits and the Teton Valley community at large, as these funds increase the impact of every dollar given directly to a nonprofit during the Tin Cup Challenge Giving Period, open now through July 28, 2014 at 5pm. Participating nonprofits serve a wide variety of needs in Teton Valley and the Tin Cup Challenge is the largest fundraising event of the year for many, making the Challenger Fund a key ingredient to the success of several of the Teton Valley’s nonprofits.
To date, over 30 of your fellow community members and business owners have contributed to the Challenger Fund. The Community Foundation of Teton Valley, on behalf of all participating nonprofits, would like to take the time to recognize each of them here. Be sure to thank these community-minded individuals and organizations where and when you can!
