On Tuesday, March 12th, the Community Foundation of Teton Valley’s 17th Annual Tin Cup Challenge Application Period opens with the Tin Cup Kick-Off Meeting! The first half-hour is a mandatory meeting for organizations that have never participated in the Tin Cup Challenge or have been absent from participating for more than two years. Grant Success: A Place to Gather
The Teton County Fair Board was thrilled to be awarded a 2023 Competitive Grant for $2,000 to help purchase ten new picnic tables for public seating. They are proud and grateful to provide safe and attractive seating for up to sixty people! The new pine picnic tables are beautiful, sturdy, portable, and inviting. The Success of a Regional Resource Mental Health Guide
The Mental Health Coalition of Teton Valley was awarded a $2,500 Competitive Grant to create a Regional Resource Guide Project. Working with clients and community stakeholders, they: They are now in the process of updating a website to host this information. A beta site is currently up and running. Grant Success for Valley Adaptive Sports
Valley Adaptive Sports collaborated with Teton Valley Aquatics and Teton Valley Foundation to scholarship instructor-led swimming lessons and inclusive Ice & sled hockey. They provided 24 swimming lesson dates with 3-4 instructors per session. They also offered 12 inclusive ice and sled hockey sessions. The Teton Springs Foundation matched a $2,000 Competitive Grant from the Community Foundation for $4,000 in scholarship grant funding. Flight Scholarship Opens
The Blake Chapman Young Eagles Flight Scholarship was created by a group of individuals who wanted to give students in Teton County, ID the opportunity to learn how to fly. This scholarship provides up to $10,000 towards the cost of a Private Pilot Certificate – including instruction, flight time and books.
