The Community Foundation of Teton Valley is pleased to announce that it has hired Dawn Banks as its Marketing and Events Director. Banks joins the Community Foundation of Teton Valley with a passion for nonprofit event planning and extensive experience in marketing and communications.
“Dawn is the perfect fit for organizing our annual Tin Cup Challenge and we are thrilled to welcome her as a part of our permanent, year-round staff,” says Carrie Mowrey, Executive Director of the Community Foundation of Teton Valley.
Along with her duties organizing the Tin Cup Challenge each year, Banks will take on the task of implementing the Community Foundation’s marketing and communication plans.
“I have a deep respect and love for the people and places that make up the Teton Valley and am thrilled to be involved with the Community Foundation of Teton Valley and the annual Tin Cup Challenge,” says Banks.
Originally from Iowa, Dawn made her way out west in 2004 after graduating from Northwest Missouri State University with a B.S. in Organizational Communication and minors in General Business and Public Relations and felt immediately at home. An active community member, she has been a part of several local and community organizations and currently serves as President of the Teton Valley Chamber of Commerce, sits on the Board of Directors for the Yellowstone Teton Territory, and is a part of the Driggs Plaza Advisory Committee.
In her personal time, Dawn enjoys any activity that allows her to spend quality time with her husband and 2 year old daughter including cross country skiing, canoeing, biking, camping or just good old-fashioned downtime.
