The Community Foundation of Teton Valley recently completed its 2013 Grant cycle, awarding more than $30,000 to Teton Valley nonprofit organizations.
“Thanks to the generosity of this community during the Tin Cup Challenge, our Grant fund continues to support urgent and important nonprofit needs within Teton Valley,” said Kim Trotter, executive director of the Community Foundation of Teton Valley.
The Community Foundation’s Grant fund allows nonprofits to apply for grants throughout the year when the funding is most important to an individual nonprofit. This is the first year where the Community Foundation concentrated solely on Grants – $2,500 and under grants that are evaluated when they are received.
The Community Foundation strives to support broad interests ranging from arts and culture, recreation, community wellness, youth and senior services, environmental, and education needs in the community.
Grant recipients include: Downtown Driggs Community Association, Yama Judo, Teton Valley Foundation, Teton Regional Land Trust, Full Circle Education, Subs for Santa, Teton Valley Hospital Foundation, Teton Valley Community Animal Shelter, Teton Valley Education Foundation, Friends of the Teton River, Teton Science Schools, Teton Valley Food Pantry, Teton Valley Ski Education Foundation, Teton Valley Hospital, Charture Institute, Tetonia Elementary School, Valley Advocates for Responsible Development, Teton Valley Community Recycling, Rendezvous Upper Elementary School, Teton Valley Trails and Pathways, and Seniors West of the Tetons.
