Teton Valley Foundation works year-round to make the good life in Teton Valley even better! Our goal is to help make positive connections through a shared love and appreciation for all that makes this valley so special, our community.
Did you know that we host approximately 26,000 skaters at the Kotler Ice Arena each winter? We provide safe, affordable recreation options to teenagers and families skating together at our Friday Night Ice. We coach over 200 skaters weekly and invite 350 students to participate through the Winter Sports program, in partnership with the Teton County School District. We provide scholarships for over 20 students in our Youth Hockey programs and host over 50 local and regional teams who travel to Teton Valley to participate in our adult pond hockey, women’s hockey and youth hockey tournaments throughout the winter, boosting our local economy. We instill confidence, teach independence, team work and mutual respect among all of our users. This is why it matters.
A summer highlight in Teton Valley is Music on Main, which attracts approximately 24,000 music lovers, families and friends to Victor City Park over the course of our 8-week series. We are overjoyed to be bringing the series back this summer, after missing last summer due to the pandemic. And yes, we are in full swing planning the season and can’t wait to see everyone at Victor City Park on Thursdays this summer! The income received through your generous donations at the door helps to sustain our programming all year long. This is why it matters.
We are so grateful that the Community Foundation of Teton Valley continues to support us all year round but especially this time of year, to secure Challenger funding so essential to shoring up our valley’s nonprofits. This year TVF was fortunate enough to be awarded a Youth Philanthropy Grant to purchase safety gear for our Sled Hockey Program which provides the opportunity for disabled members of our community to participate safely in our programs. We also received a Competitive Grant providing funding for a new instant hot water system which will provide enough hot water for quality ice maintenance, creating safer conditions for our skaters. Through the Community Foundation of Teton Valley’s generous support, we can continue to keep our growing user base skating safely at the rink. This is why it matters.
The Tin Cup Challenge helps us to continue achieving our mission. This summer the support you give through your Tin Cup donation will be essential to supporting a recently launched matching “Zampaign” to complete several essential capital improvements at the rink, it will help us cover operating expenses like year-round staff who work the rink and bring you Music on Main, and it will help us cover rink maintenance, sound production at the concerts and enable us to invite renowned bands from around the country back to our valley. This is why it matters.
If we have learned anything over the past year it is how important it is for us to come together as a community, as friends and neighbors, connecting through the power of music in Victor City Park and on the ice at the Kotler Ice Arena. With your support we can continue to celebrate this amazing valley we are so fortunate to call home.
With Gratitude,
Amy Fradley, Executive Director
