The Community Foundation of Teton Valley’s 18th Annual Tin Cup Challenge Application Period opens with the Tin Cup Kick-Off Meeting on Tuesday, March 11. The meeting will take place from 9 to 10 AM at the Community Foundation office at 189 North Main Street, Suite 112 in Driggs.
The first half-hour is mandatory for organizations that have never participated in the Tin Cup Challenge or have been absent for more than two years. The second half of the meeting, starting at 9:30 AM, will offer personalized assistance with Tin Cup logins and applications. New Executive Directors or staff responsible for overseeing Tin Cup participation are highly recommended to attend.
This informational meeting covers the application process, guidelines, and important dates. According to Brian Thysell, Community Foundation Program Manager, “This is a fantastic opportunity for participating nonprofits to gather essential information and have all their questions answered. Attending this meeting in March allows nonprofits to plan and organize their strategy before heading into the busy summer months.”
Serving as a six-week giving period and a one-day celebration of the community’s spirit of generosity, the Tin Cup Challenge has raised $26.9 million in just 17 years for nonprofits in Teton Valley. According to Bonnie Self, Executive Director of the Foundation, “The Tin Cup Challenge inspires those who care about Teton Valley to take action for their community. Every donation matters and creates a significant overall impact for local nonprofits.”
This mandatory meeting for new staff and organizations is key to successful participation in the Tin Cup Challenge. Any organization seeking a refresher is invited to attend all or part of the meeting. Attending organizations should RSVP or contact Brian Thysell at bthysell@cftetonvalley.org by 5 PM on Friday, March 7.
Mark your calendars for the 18th Annual Tin Cup Challenge Event Day, which will take place on July 19, 2025 – always the third Saturday in July.
