Community Learn-to-Swim Program – $2,000 The Community Foundation of Teton Valley appreciated the strategic nature of this grant to invest in swim education and empower families with the access and knowledge to swim. Teton Valley Aquatics’ Pilot Community Learn-to-Swim program to address limited accessiblity to water safety education opportunities in Teton Valley was granted full funding during our Competitive Grant cycle. Teton Valley Community Recycling – Community Compost Program
Community Compost Program – $750 The Community Foundation was pleased to fully fund Teton Valley Community Recycling’s competitive grant to strategically and collaboratively reduce waste and increase composting locally. Teton Valley residents currently send large amounts of food and yard waste to the landfill for disposal thus increasing greenhouse gas emissions through transport and the resultant anaerobic decay of landfilled materials. Teton Mental Health Coalition – Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) Group
$4,080 – Dialectical Behavior Therapy Group Teton Mental Health Coalition’s grant to fund a Dialectical Behavior Therapy Group for teens who attend Teton Middle School and Basin High School was fully funded by the Community Foundation of Teton Valley during our Competitive Grant cycle. This group will teach communication, mindfulness, and distress tolerance skills using an evidenced-based, group approach in order to prevent suicide and self-harming behaviors, as well as improve the overall mental health and wellbeing of participants. Teton Valley Trails & Pathways – Ginzu Groomer
$2,500 – Ginzu Groomer The Community Foundation of Teton Valley fully funded Teton Valley Trails and Pathways Competitive Grant ask to help offset the cost of new grooming equipment, as TVTAP continues to expand their grooming efforts in Teton Valley. Teton Creek Corridor Collaborative – Teton Creek Corridor Pathway
$9,000 – Teton Creek Corridor Pathway The Teton Creek Corridor Project was started in 2014 by four Teton Valley nonprofits to create a greenbelt trail corridor along Teton Creek that will provide public access, protect agricultural heritage, improve stream function, protect vital habitat, and improve existing developments by making them more compatible with community goals.
