Join the Heart of Teton Valley: 18th Annual Tin Cup Challenge Kicks Off June 13

The Community Foundation of Teton Valley is proud to launch the 18th Annual Tin Cup Challenge—a unique, community-wide fundraiser that brings together neighbors across the valley to support the organizations that make life in the Tetons vibrant, resilient, and connected.

From Friday, June 13, through Friday, July 25 at 5 PM, anyone can give to their favorite local nonprofits through a single, streamlined donation, which is partially matched by generous businesses and individuals. This means your gift goes further to support the critical work, dedication, and impact of the nonprofits you care about most.

“Whether you’ve lived here for decades or just recently made Teton Valley your home, this is your opportunity to be part of something bigger,” said Bonnie Self, Executive Director of the Community Foundation, “The Tin Cup Challenge helps local nonprofits raise essential funds by offering a Matching Grant that incentivizes community engagement.”

why it Matters

In just 17 years, the Tin Cup Challenge has raised nearly $27 million for Teton Valley nonprofits. These funds support vital programs in education, healthcare, social services, conservation, animal welfare, the arts, recreation, and more. In 2024 alone, $3.3 million was raised and has since been invested across the valley, fueling the daily work that keeps our community thriving year-round.

Join the Challenge

1. Give during the 6-week Giving Period (June 13–July 25):
   1. Donate by check (using the Tin Cup Donor Form)
   1. Give online at www.TinCupChallenge.org
   1. Or contribute via stock, wire transfer, or donor-advised fund
      100% of your donation goes to the nonprofits you choose.
2. Celebrate on Event Day – Saturday, July 19 from 9 AM–Noon at Driggs City Park
   1. Timed 5K /10K races, and Fun Run/Walk
   1. Free community breakfast, entertainment, and activities
   1. Nonprofit booths, information, and games
   1. Complimentary T-shirts (while supplies last)
3. Become a Challenger ($1,500+) or Friend of the Match ($1+)
   1. Support the partial Match Grant for participating nonprofits
   1. Fund Competitive Grants and Youth Philanthropy
   1. Offer training opportunities for nonprofit board and staff members
