The Community Foundation of Teton Valley is pleased to announce that applications for the 2026 Competitive Grant Program open at 9:00 AM on Monday, January 26, 2026. Proposals are due by 5:00 PM on Friday, February 13, 2026. The Foundation encourages nonprofit organizations serving Teton Valley to apply for funding to support initiatives addressing meaningful community needs.
Eligible applicants include 501(c)(3) public charities, schools, and local government entities. With an increased average grant award of about $5,000 and $85,000 available for distribution, the Foundation’s Grant Committee welcomes high-impact proposals, including collaborative efforts that leverage shared resources and expertise to strengthen outcomes across the valley.
The Competitive Grant Program plays a critical role in ensuring Teton Valley’s nonprofit sector can respond to evolving community needs. By providing flexible funding across sectors such as arts, education, environment, health, social services, recreation, animal welfare, and civic engagement, these grants help stabilize operations, launch new programs, address urgent challenges, and plan strategically for the future. In doing so, the Competitive Grant Program supports a resilient, connected, and thriving valley.
Bonnie Self, Executive Director of the Community Foundation of Teton Valley, emphasized the importance of this annual investment:
“Without nonprofit organizations, Teton Valley would look very different. The Community Foundation is proud to support their committed work and enhance their impact in our community through grants. We sincerely thank the Tin Cup Challengers and our donors, whose generosity enables our Competitive Grant Program each year.”
The Community Foundation holds and stewards donor contributions with care, ensuring grant dollars are invested responsibly and in alignment with community priorities. Funding for the Competitive Grant Program is made possible through the generosity of Tin Cup Business & Community Challengers and donors, whose collective support fuels innovation, collaboration, and long-term impact across Teton Valley.
In addition to the Competitive Grant Program, nonprofits are encouraged to explore the Foundation’s Opportunities Fund, which provides support for emergent or time-sensitive needs throughout the year.
Community members and businesses interested in strengthening local nonprofits are encouraged to participate by supporting the Tin Cup Challenge and Community Foundation grantmaking programs. Every contribution helps ensure vital services, programs, and community solutions can continue to grow and adapt.
