Wildfire Mitigation Program
The Wildfire Mitigation Fund was established by local citizens in response to concerns from Teton County Fire Rescue about the valley's high wildfire risk. The fund supports the expansion of the county's wildfire mitigation program, including hiring a full-time Wildfire Mitigation Specialist to coordinate mitigation efforts, model wildfire behavior, and identify high-risk areas.
Funds also support community education, landowner outreach, and grant-seeking to strengthen long-term wildfire and smoke preparedness across Teton County. More info: tvwildfiremitigation.org
Andy Tyson Memorial Fund
Tax-deductible contributions to the Andy Tyson Memorial Fund serve mountain communities in the developing world through projects that promote the appreciation of their environment and opportunities for the development of outdoor skills. The goal of this fund is to provide resources for expeditions, training in mountain skills, and to match outside expertise with local interest.
A.J. Linnell Memorial Trail Fund
The A.J. Linnell Memorial Trail Fund supports the construction and maintenance of biking and hiking trails in Teton Valley that connect neighborhoods with the peaks and valleys that A.J. loved. A cyclist, educator, city councilor, mountain guide, and environmentalist, A.J. envisioned a trails system that would provide easy access to the backcountry from downtown Victor, making the quiet and beauty of the wilderness available to all.
We created a memorial fund for my late husband AJ Linnell, a supporter of public trails in Teton Valley. Partnering with the Foundation made it easy for family, friends, and community members to donate in AJ's honor and keep his vision alive. We raised over $120K to help local nonprofits implement the Southern Valley Trail System, buy a trail-dozer, and fund new BLM trails east of Victor. The Foundation helped us turn grief into a lasting legacy for AJ and the community.
