Teton County Idaho Search and Rescue (TCISAR) is a group of volunteers dedicated to providing the public prompt, professional emergency services for people who are lost, injured, stranded, or in need of rescue primarily within Teton County Idaho. Our team and foundation are made up of 100% volunteers and we owe much of our success to the Community Foundation of Teton Valley, specifically the Tin Cup Challenge and generous Community and Business Challengers. Teton County Idaho Search and Rescue is a group of 28 volunteers who donated 3,226 hours in 2020 in training and rescues.  The group is entirely made up of volunteers dedicated to providing the public prompt, professional emergency services for people who are lost, injured, stranded, or in need of rescue primarily within Teton County Idaho.  Our team is enhanced by 4 canine rescue members as well. 2020 provided additional challenges for the TCISAR team, as front line responders we had to consider…

It’s a beautiful evening for a late summer full moon hike. Two well-equipped hikers head up a trail near Victor to enjoy the view. The hikers reach the top but lose the trail on the way down. They can see the highway, but they just can’t figure out a safe way down. Luckily, they have enough cell phone reception to call 9-1-1. Teton County Idaho Search and Rescue – AED

Automatic External Defibrillators (AED) – $2,395 The Community Foundation of Teton Valley was honored to award Teton County Idaho Search and Rescue (TCISAR) this grant to purchase an Automatic External Defibrillators (AED).  The Community Foundation supported this request because it increases the likelihood of a patient having the specific care that AED units provide when rescue personnel arrives on site.  The new AED will benefit the community by the increased coverage with this life-saving technology.
