Tinny puts the miles in year-round for Teton Valley’s nonprofit community. Keep Tinny nourished for the long haul with a direct donation to the Community Foundation of Teton Valley.
In the deep winter months, Tinny researches shirt colors, Event Day vendors, inventory, permits, menu items, logistics, celebration venues, and more.
As Spring rolls around, Tinny reviews Tin Cup applicants & their qualifications to assure donors that their gifts to any of 47 nonprofits will be put to good use.
Upon acceptance, Tinny quickly creates, prints, orchestrates and distributes an all-inclusive brochure to every box holder in the county – 5,774!
Once the 8-week Giving Period opens, Tinny is on the move distributing Tin Cup brochures, posters, and banners all around Teton Valley and beyond.
From coordinating Tin Cup captains and volunteers, to on-the-ground layout, marketing, and race registration, Tinny ensures that our community celebrates a successful Event Day.
In addition to making a daily run to the post office to pick up Tin Cup donations, Tinny also fields calls and questions from nonprofits and community members alike.
During the Giving Period, the Foundation processes 100% of the gifts received via mail, credit card, our office, or at the Farmer’s Market. Last year we processed gifts from over 1,000 individual donors.
On Friday’s, during the Giving Period, you can find Tinny and company at the Driggs Farmer’s Market – accepting donations, distributing T-shirts, and registering runners.
Tinny comes alive on Event Day! Tinny loves celebrating our amazing community by running alongside those that make it all happen – donors, volunteers, and nonprofits. Seeing everyone together fills his cup.
After the dust settles and ALL gifts have been processed, Tinny sets the Matching Grant allocation and celebrates by distributing checks to participating nonprofits at the Awards Party.
Tinny keeps the Community Foundation’s illustrious Board working hard to raise funds for the whole nonprofit community. In 11 years, Tinny has grown our number of Challengers from 33 to 185!
Tinny keeps the programs funded by the Challenger Fund running year-round. This includes Youth Philanthropy, Competitive Grants, and Nonprofit Board & Staff Workshops.
Tinny trains year-round to make Event Day and the 8-week Giving Period come off without a hitch. Additionally, while always keeping Tin Cup in mind, Tinny continues to offer additional programming while managing funds, scholarships, nonprofit networking opportunities, equipment rentals, and best practices for nonprofit staff and board members. Consider a direct gift to the Community Foundation to support Tinny’s unwavering efforts to elevate our nonprofit community and the people, wildlife, and landscape within Teton Valley.
