We will be building a 200’ rock and gravel causeway across the first meadow (just past the bridge near the trailhead) to mitigate this muddy and trenched out section of trail. The causeway construction will involve loading and hauling wheelbarrows of pit run (rock/gravel) from the trailhead to the meadow (about 300 ft. haul) The pit run will be mounded, compacted, then capped with crushed gravel.
Depending on volunteer participation, additional work activities may include brushing back overgrowth, water bar cleaning, and tread maintenance further up the trail.
